MediaLaws is pleased to share the Information Commission’s Office (ICO) call for evidence on agentic AI, seeking views from developers, deployers, and other experts on how organisations manage the data protection risks of agentic AI.
As increasingly autonomous AI systems can execute tasks, interact with other systems, and handle personal data with limited human intervention, the ICO aims to gather evidence on the emerging compliance challenges these technologies raise and to inform future regulatory guidance.
This call focuses on the following themes:
- Theme 1: Data security
- Theme 2: Transparency
- Theme 3: Accountability
- Theme 4: ADM
- Theme 5: Fairness and purpose limitations
- Theme 6: Lawfulness of processing
The consultation will remain open until 20 November 2026.
