Profile

Giovanni De Gregorio is Vice-Dean and PLMJ Chair in Law and Technology at Católica Global School of Law and Católica Lisbon School of Law. He is also a member of the Católica Research Centre for the Future of Law.

His research and teaching lie at the intersection of European law and constitutional law, with a focus on digital technologies and policy.

He is the author of Digital Constitutionalism in Europe: Reframing Rights and Powers in the Algorithmic Society, published by Cambridge University Press in 2022, and co-editor of works on constitutional challenges in the algorithmic society and blockchain and public law.

Before joining Católica, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Programme in Comparative Media Law and Policy within the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies at the University of Oxford. He earned his PhD in European and Constitutional Law from the University of Milano-Bicocca.

He is co-founder of The Digital Constitutionalist and serves on the editorial boards of MediaLaws, Diritti Comparati and the Journal of Law, Market and Innovation.
