CALL FOR PAPERS | 11th Academic Days on Open Governments & Digital Issues

MediaLaws is pleased to share the Call for Papers for the 11th Academic Days on Open Governments & Digital Issues, an international and interdisciplinary conference that will take place on 3–4 November 2026 in a hybrid format (Paris and online), hosted by the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, the Institut Juridique de la Sorbonne (IRJS-DreDis) and IMODEV.

Now in its eleventh edition, the conference aims to bring together scholars from a wide range of disciplines to discuss the challenges of open government and digital transformation. Building on the principles of transparency, accountability, citizen participation, and digital governance, the event provides a forum for academic debate on the legal, political, economic, social, and technological dimensions of the information society.

The organizers welcome contributions from academics, researchers, PhD candidates, and graduate students. The conference adopts a strongly multidisciplinary approach and encourages submissions on topics including, among others:

  • Open Government and Open Data;
  • Artificial Intelligence and Algorithms;
  • Cybersecurity and Digital Sovereignty;
  • Blockchain and Digital Innovation;
  • Privacy and Data Protection;
  • Freedom of Expression in the Digital Age;
  • Digital Surveillance;
  • Fake News and Disinformation;
  • Smart Cities;
  • Network Neutrality;
  • Citizen Participation and Collaborative Governance;
  • Transparency, Accountability, and National Security.

Participants may present their research through workshops and thematic sessions, and proposals on additional topics are also welcome. Particular attention is devoted to the involvement of early-career scholars, including doctoral candidates and master’s students.

Registration and submission of presentation proposals must be completed through the conference platform by 10 July 2026.
